life my way

The mystery of congestion.

I don't want to be gross, but it's October in Alabama and ragweed, goldenrod and all and my head vacillates between light, open and airy on the one hand and enormous concrete block on the other. This transformation, in some instances, is quite sudden (in the house, blockhead, walk the dog, light, open and airy). I suspect the cats play a role in the inside/outside mystery, but I cannot be sure. In other mysteries, I've been light, open and airy all day today and, it appears, I have lost six pounds. Please gawd don't let these two facts be related.

I've quit taken Zyrtec, the miracle allergy remedy that causes depression, unconsciousness, psychotic rage. In the absence of Zyrtec I have congestion, muddle-headedness, apathy. What great choices. As long as my nose is working, I suppose the non-Zyrtec route is the best, but the jury's still out.

In other news, the puppy had a cat turd for breakfast. I discovered this when I reamed out her mouth to remove the mystery snack. Good morning. For lunch, she enjoyed a big bite of a fire ant nest. Survival of the fittest is not this dog's friend.

Time to fetch the boy. More tonight, I hope.

What's new: Adventures in allergies.
Zen task: Job hunt decisions.
Deep thought: Relax into it; it will all work out. Oh, and resistance is futile.
